Hi there! We're Jennifer and Hannah--the mother-daughter duo behind the magic at Wren & Chick Events. Our company was founded on a mutual love of party planning, floral arranging, and Say Yes to the Dress. Plus, who doesn't want to run a business with their best friend? 

While Jennifer and Hannah founded Wren & Chick Events together in 2018, they’ve since grown their team to include 5 incredible ladies who each have their own special set of talents and wonderful, unique personalities. Together, the Wren & Chick team would love to help bring your dream day to life!

Now time for the big question--why Wren & Chick? Having spent a large portion of our lives in the great state of South Carolina, we wanted to somehow incorporate that while also touching on our unique mother-daughter relationship. With the state bird of South Carolina being the Carolina Wren, Wren & Chick Events felt like the perfect fit!

We are based in Fort Mill, South Carolina and Charleston, South Carolina, but love to serve both the Carolinas and beyond. Bringing your dream day to life is what we do best and we strive to build long-lasting friendships along the way. We'd love to chat with you!

Having gotten her start in the industry at the age of 15, Hannah knew from her first “I do” that she loved everything wedding.Couple that with being raised by the ultimate party planner and master DIYer and you’ve got a recipe for wedding planning success. Her style is classic and timeless with a fun, personal twist that’s unique to her clients’ vision. While Hannah loves everything about wedding days, her favorite moment is usually the father-daughter dance and getting to reveal the reception space to her clients - seeing their reactions is the best! 

When Hannah isn’t planning weddings, she loves traveling with her husband, baking yummy treats, doing DIY house projects, cheering on the Tennessee Vols and Clemson Tigers, and spending time with her two kids, and two pups!

Jennifer was born in California but considers herself a Southerner in spirit, having fallen in love with the slower pace and hospitality of the South. Jennifer has always loved welcoming friends and family into her home, and she gets the greatest enjoyment out of seeing people have a great time together. After experiencing the joy as well as the stress of being Mother of the Bride, Jennifer realized that assisting couples and their families during the biggest celebration of their lives was a natural extension of her party planning talents. She considers it the ultimate honor to be trusted with the details of such a special day and especially enjoys watching the happy couples come up the aisle after their ceremony. 

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys traveling with her husband, reading, painting and hanging out with her two rescue pups. She considers being “Lolli”’to her grandchildren her greatest accomplishment and joy.

Victoria

Carolina raised, this NC State gal loves everything weddings! Creating the perfect timeline and executing it on the day-of are just a few of her favorite things about planning. From weddings to bar mitzvahs to baby showers to bachelorette parties and everything in-between, there isn't an event she wouldn't love to help plan (or hasn't done already!). Victoria is charismatic, has amazing attention to detail, and boasts a keen eye for design. Her ability to go with the flow and desire to create the perfect day are just a few of the reasons why she would love to help with any special occasion! 

When she isn't scrolling Pinterest for new ideas, she’s either taking her pup to explore the mountains or to soak up the sun at the beach. You can also catch her teaching hot yoga at the local studio in Charlotte!

Event Lead

Mariah joined Wren & Chick in October 2020 after dabbling in various industries post-college (Go Tigers!). After Mariah’s first wedding, it was evident that she was the perfect fit for the W&C team and just what they needed to take things to the next level. She loves the excitement of planning and the behind the scenes of any event she’s involved in. One of her favorite things is being able to connect with our couples and make the whole wedding planning process as seamless as possible. Mariah’s attention to detail and killer organization skills truly make her the most amazing asset. When it comes to the big day, no task is too small and every little detail matters - down to the last minute fluff of the bride's dress before walking down the aisle. 

When Mariah isn’t planning weddings she loves spending time with her friends and family, watching Clemson sports with her husband, and cuddling her dog, Renfrow. She recently grew her family with the addition of her sweet daughter, Emilia, in March!

Shannon joined the W&C Team as an Event Assistant in August 2022. In May 2017, she graduated with Honors from Coastal Carolina University (Go, Chants!) and, since then, has fallen in love with event planning. Shannon is an excellent multi-tasker that loves helping others, solving problems, and making people smile! She’s organized, thoughtful, and the perfect burst of enthusiasm that every bride needs on her wedding day! 

You will find her cuddling with her fur baby, Brew, and relaxing with family and friends in her spare time!

Hannah and her team are FABULOUS. We are from Tennessee and wanted to pull off a dreamy South Carolina wedding in just 3 months. Planning out of state and on such a short time frame should have been stressful, but it was anything but. Hannah kept everything under control and created an absolutely beautiful day. The day of, she and her team took amazing care of us- we always had a drink or a plate of food and we were able to truly enjoy the moment with absolutely no worries. I truly cannot say enough good things about Wren and Chick- they're the best!

Hannah and Jennifer are the best!! We went through a lot together between COVID rescheduling and vendor cancellations, but they were great problem solvers and always made me feel calm. When the wedding band canceled with 5 days notice, Hannah had another band booked within 48 hours and they were AMAZING! They have great design ideas and they really roll up their sleeves to help in any way they can. They also took a lot of the stress off of me by handling vendor coordination and communication. And my mom could not stop talking about how they went above and beyond on the big day. They were a calming presence and were constantly hustling to tend to everyone's needs. You can be sure this mother-daughter duo will take good care of you and make you feel extra special.

YOU HAVE FOUND YOUR PLANNERS! I wish I could put into words just how amazing Hannah and her team is, but it's impossible to describe just how amazing they are and how perfect they were leading up to and on our big day. Leading up to the wedding, Hannah and Mariah helped me with inspiration, direction and also SO MUCH communication with my vendors. Day of the wedding, Hannah and her fabulous mom Jennifer completely made EVERYTHING happen. If you are still trying to find your planners - stop here and hire Wren & Chick. You can thank me later. You will get a professional team that puts your vision first, but will bring their fun and organized flare to make the magic happen. I am jealous that you are starting your journey with them - I would do it over and over.
